DIRECTOR'S NOTE

Dear Director, Producer and Distributor,

Thank you very much for submitting your work(s) to the 12th Edition Auburn International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults.  The festival will be hosted by Reading Cinemas, The Newington Armory Theatre, Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre and Whitecliffs Community Hall during September 21-25, 2009.

The festival selection committee previewed over 350 films from 47 countries and selected 88 titles in 6 competitive categories and 31 titles out of competition.  We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for your contributions in making this year's line up the most interesting selection so far!  Almost 95% of selected works are Australian Premieres that make this event a landmark in presentation and promotion of films by children and youth as well as adults whose works are about or for children and youth in this country.

We look forward to receive new works by all of you in the year 2010!

Vahid Vahed
Artistic Director
