DIRECTOR'S NOTE

Dear Director, Producer and Distributor,

Thank you for the interest in flEXiff 2002-2022.  The festival received more than 300 films from 40 countries and selected 63 shorts competing for 'Best Short Film Award', 25 shorts competing for 'Special flEXiff Award', and 3 features competing for 'Best Feature Film Award'.

flEXiff 2009 'Curatorial and Exchange' Program presents 14 shorts by Kurdish filmmakers in 'Out of Competition' category as well as a series of shorts by Iranian Independent filmmakers and IYCS (Iranian Young Cinema Society) productions representing ISFA (Iranian Short Film Association).

flEXiff will be hosted by Reading Cinemas, The Newington Armory Theatre, Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre and Broken Hill Regional Arts Gallery during September 25, 26, 27, 2009.
